What happens if I lose signal or the internet goes down?If the internet goes down or if there is no signal in certain areas of check-in, the system turns on its offline mode until the signal comes back on. Or you can also turn the devices to offline if you are noticing issues with the sync due to an unstable internet connection.
In Offline mode, you're able to continue check-in and collect time stamps. However, it is important to understand that devices working on the offline mode, don't communicate with each other nor with the server. The lists and data are stored locally on the device.
If you go Offline during the event, it is important to get the app back connected to a network before logging out. If you log out while still offline you will lose all of that locally stored data as it was never able to sync to the cloud.
NOTE: When bringing the devices back online, do so one by one. If you bring multiple devices back online at the same time, the syncs may compete with one another, and overwrite data potentially. It's easiest to bring one device on and sync, the second device next etc etc.
Be aware that the app does need internet signal at least at the beginning of an event in order to retrieve the initial guest data from the servers.
